2.5" to 3" Exhaust not sealing?
So my new header is 2.5", but my test pipe is 3". There is a HUGE leak between the two, and im pretty sure that the flange on the header is too small.
Have you guys ever seen any 2-bolt header reducers before? I know im not the only one running this setup |

i had a custom 2.25 (i think hot shot is) to 3" flex pipe test pipe made to make this work cause to have a test pipe in and not have any flex pipe is stupid imo and puts alot of stress on the headers... just order a 3" or 2.5' flex pipe and get a local exhaust shop to make a adapter and all that shit to get it to bolt onto where the test pipe would be
here it is ![]() |

I have a Magnaflow 3" cat from PDM Racing. No fitment issue whatsoever.
The car only lost 15 bhp on cat and 2.5" custom catback vs. open header on my V8. I can't imagine a 4 cylinder car losing more power if you have a good catback. I'm not sure if the extra gain you get with a test pipe is worth it. |

my buddy had the same problem. Just use some good gaskets if that dosnt work use alot of JB coldweld. Just put it between the two pipes and let it sit for 10+ hours till it drys. If you dont have time theres a 5min jb cold weld that drys fast.
