You're decreasing your drivetrain loss.
I think thats what he's trying to say, you have it, your just losing it through the weight. Which you Gain hp, but then again you dont, your kind of just releasing what was to be had from the beginning...

i have had a stock clutch on my SR for over a year, just switched to an ACT xtreme light weight one, and i like it. Its nice, but dont expect some big HP or tq gain, if your in tune with your car you can tell, but its not a huge difference. the biggest difference is on engine response and between shifts, you have to learn how to keep the rpms up if you shift slow, if you shift fast its better than OEM IMO.

I drift a SOHC and refuse to do any lightening of the flywheel.
When drifting on track, you only usually are shifting a couple times. But you clutch kick ALOT.
I want the normal flywheel so that I can keep all that heavy inertia working for me in shocking the driveline.

if I auto crossed more or dragged, i would want the faster rev and shifts of the lightened flywheel.
Just my 2 cents

i have a fidanza 11lbs flywheel and aluminum drive shaft i think at its like 9 or 10lbs you definitely feel a nice increase in response and once you get use to the rpm drop between shifts its not bad at all. i would recommend it. im sr btw.
