Loud noise at start-up!

In the morning, start-up is fine. When I am going to lunch, I push the clutch in, turn the key, and when it turns over there is a "thud" sound (sounds like it right behind my clutch pedal)..Now i did recently change out my slave and master clutch cylinders, and rem0ved the dampner, which i was told i would feel more clutch vibration.(not sure if this is the reason)
And a weird thing is, it doesnt happen EVERY time..

I have researched every possible word associated with this problem...from start-up, to clutch noise........

any suggestions to help point me in the right direction...thanks!
