simple question on belts...need help ASAP

Are all the belts on the KA24DE (S13-S14) the same?

If so....how do I put on the belt that goes around the water pump, pwr steering pump and some other pulley?

95K. Where are you looking to get belts...is the car immobilized now or can you drive it? I think the database at autozone is quite current and correct and you could go up there and someone could walk you through it.

Just look for the belt tensioners and they will back the belt(s) off.

I Do not have a DOHC..so I simply don't know...but someone there can find out. Some of them take their jobs seriously actually.

Drive up there or any performace shop...especially import and they will show you how to get the belt situation off and on..and autozones database for compatability is guranteed actually...esp. if you buy from them.

All I can give you for the moment.

Can't I have the belt and right now I have no car.

Actually the belt snapped and I have to replace that and the water pump.

Damn..

My Point is, they will sell you the proper belts and the water pump. Tell them the year and all and they gurantee the correct parts.

Less than 60 for everything.

They also will show you how to back the tensioners down so you can install it and make sure it is not to tight when you put it on and re-tension it or the next waterpump will die soon from too tight a belt and sideload on the bushings.

Call autozone. Get the right belt an WP, gaskets, and antifreeze.

Talk to them and let you look at some pics of it...they have them on the screens.

IIRC, there is only one belt on the WP, and it goes to the power steering. just loosen the bolt behind the pulley on the p/s pump, and the bolt on the mounting bracket, then use the long bolt attached to the bracket to push the p/s pump far enough to get the belt on.

Actually I only asked the question about the belt because I was having trouble getting it on.

I bought my belt and water pump from the dealership. Thanks for the advice 96240sxSE, someone actually gave me the same tip and everything worked out fine. However...I'm don't know if its tight enough. I'm also having some serious timing chain rattle.
