Stereo + Clock quit working?

So over the past winter, now that im driving my car again, my stereo (Alpine 7876) and my clock dont work. I had to jump my car a few times over the Winter, but I dont think that has anything to do with it.

My radio wont turn on, and the clock wont either. The clock light works, but the clock itself doesnt.

I checked the obvious fuses, but i got nothing. Anyone else have any kind of an idea?

Maybe loose wire. CD player should have a fuse on it. Pull the cd player and check that fuse. I'm not sure if the 2 are related unsure if they run on the same loop.

check your power wires, then check your fuse. happened to me, and it was the fuse that was burnt.

um... if ur interior lights dont work, and seatbelts dont either with the poweroff its a fuse, i had the same problem. its the 3rd fuse from the top on the right, a red one. otherwise check your TCU box, its the white one under the kick panel on the driver side. its under the fuse box.

Interior lights work fine, only thing not working is the clock and radio head unit.

It wouldnt be a loose wire, it worked fine for 4 years. Something happened over the winter, i guess while jumping it, and now it doesnt work.

My Alpine doesnt have a fuse in the rear

If its not a fuse theres an open ckt somewhere....

Start from page EL-118 (118) on http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/240sx/1995/EL.pdf and print off all the audio schematic wiring diags, use them as your guide.

Get a multimeter and with a continuity tester, test ckt from the fuse outlet on the fusebox to the cd player power and clock power.

I still think its a fuse... make sure when you check your fuses your not just Looking at them. The back of the fuse has two metal surfaces, test for continuity on them to make sure the fuse element doesn't have a feint hairline crack.. Or just swap out other fuses...

The same fuse that powers the clock powers the radio. Check the radio fuse in your underdash fuse box.

On S14s the fuse you're looking for is under the hood.
