Newbie with speedo problem - Zilvia.net Forums | Nissan 240SX (Silvia) and Z (Fairlady) Car Forum

Hey guys,
Im new to this forums....so imma be messing around on this forum more often since i just bought a 1990 240SX f/b...Everything is in really good condition except for the speedometer. Well, it doesn't work and if it does work sometime, it would jump around and not be accurate. When i push the car, the rev limiter hits at 4K and sometimes when cruising, it would sputter all of a sudden. Does anyone have the same problem?? I dont know where the check engine light is. I believe everytime the speedo jumps, it causes the ecu to throw a code and make the rev limiter kick in. Can you guys help me out? btw, its the stock sohc engine. Thanks AGP
