after seeing my buddies b18 hatch get stomped on by a camaro with a 3.73 rear end, i was wondering what i can do to improve the sr tranny when it gets here. any ideas?

LOL, of course he got stomped on by the Camaro, it'd be even worse if it was a Stang

Anyways, you can swap in new gears to improve acceleration, but there's not much else you can do that will help performance, only to build the tranny if you're engine has been modified.

do you know what companies make / sell gears by chance?

you can get a 3.9 from a Z i believe
ca18 had 4.3

ive also seen skyline tranny internal in sr w/ a 4.6 gear ratio, but that's because of the tranny guys

stock is 4.1 or 4.0..i forget

4.3-faster accelleration-lower top speed
3.9 slower accelleration-higher top speed..

you get the point..

...and Nismo makes up to (IIRC) 4.6 gears for the R200V.

stock is 4.083:1

4.3 was pretty nuts from the stock final gear
