SR Silvia/180SX came with the same stock exhaust, so it should run perfectly fine.

haha i thought this was a thread bumped from 2002 or something haha, it sounds quiet, if you have a blow off valve it sounds like a blow off valve cause thats all you really hear, you can feel a huge power difference between stock exhaust and a 3 inch

"the best exhaust for a turbo, is no exhaust." You don't really need to worry about back pressure...so let that baby breath.

Big loss in power, takes longer to spool, Quiet and nothing but turbo noise. But push it and it still pulls depending on your setup. Switched to stock exhaust for insurance inspection, 3inch straight breath's much more appropriately and eliminates all of the issues.

stock exhaust is fine. its quiet, and robs you of power at the worst. unless you got a free stock sr exhaust, i dont see the point in running one. /thread

If your doing a swap and just low on funds for an exhaust you'll be fine. Its like all the cars that come stock with turbo (Evos/sti/eclipse/etc). Its gonna be really quiet. Once you put a free flowing exhaust on you'll noticed a increased power and sound.

I've tried lots of exhaust on my S13 w/SR. BRM 2.5", crush bent 2.5" to tanabe style muffler, GP Sport Spec D, HKS Hipower 85mm, Currently testing out Enjuku's ISIS Dual Tip exhaust.

No. No one has ever done that.

But seriously, like everyone said, it will run better with a free flowing exhaust.

i ran a stock exhaust on my sr for a couple months because i was low on funds. its quiet, but still sounds mean when opening up. i was never nervous when i drove on the streets or driving next to cops.
i now have a buddy club spec 2 and felt a huge increase in power. especially in higher rpms
