any made of cloth. unless you dont care about your hand getting cut up. its just a little more comfortable i think. if youve got 1 use it. if you dont a rag would do the same thing. its just a tight fit so your hand might get all cut up.

The door is ajar. The car is very straight with only 79,000 original miles and one big dent

I'll try to get behind it to see what I can do. I thought that you couldn't get to the dent because the inner fender metal was in the way. Basically I thought it was fender metal and then another piece of sheet metal after that.

I'm assuming most people on this board are anti-overfenders? I'm talking the $400 set from Chargespeed that covers the entire rear quarter and most of the rivets are with the body line or hidden

Its not a question of being anti over fender. Its a question of you overreacting to the amount of damage.

Two reasons and only two reasons for overfenders. 1. so much damage its the easiest way to get away from it.

2. You are putting on extremely low offset and extremely wide wheels.

Oh and on the second point, If you are putting on overfenders then you need big wheels. Big wheels equal lots of cash. If you're willing to go there? Sure.

Oh and your car has 79k on it. Fuck putting overfenders on it. By your own description it sounds to clean to abuse like that. Keep it as close to stock body as possible. Maybe some factory aero and suspension and wheels.

Overfenders and whatnot are for higher mileage chassis's that have seen action already. You are pretty much driving a virgin chassis wise. Don't kill it.

you can definitely get behind that dent if you remove your hatch area interior pieces. I think the basketball idea would be brilliant. Stuff a fully deflated ball in there and then start pumping.

Def. not over reacting just throwing out ideas to others to see opinions. I've been on the fence about what I want to do because of exactly what you said. It's a low mileage s13 so why add fenders and cut up quarters. I like a s13 that has widebody that's been done correctly, but I also like clean s13's like what you described.

I'll try that this weekend. I thought I couldn't get behind it, but I haven't been wanting to take the interior out since I've mounted the s14 seats in the back, just have to break down and remove everything out to fix the dent.

hey, fucker. shut the hell up.

theres no need for you to waste money if you can pop the dent out yourself. if you cant however then id take it to a shop. like i said, the metals probably warped a little but it shouldent be that noticeable. thats not even that bad of a dent... if you want before and after pictures of my car pm me and ill send you some

edit: id try to push it out before you inflate a ball behind it

Look yes he can push it out, true. but when he dose it will prob not comeout all the way and pop right back in, now if he pushes it out far enough to have it stay then he has pushed it too far and will have messed up the body line. now if he dose not care about if it is right or not then fine but i was just tring to help the guy do it the right way not half assed.
been doing body work all my life so to 93nismo step off, if u want to give people sub par advice then thats u, i am just trying to let people know the right way to do things. so please know what your talking about before u speak. thanks. And to op good luck i hope u find what your looking for.

Just straight enough to get the over fender to fit smooth.
Remove your rear interior (both rear seat area & trunk area) & get the opinion of another paintless dent removal guy. Most of that area is reachable. There's actually inflation tools that Eastwood sells (I used one before for a smaller dent from pulling the fenders), but they are typically for smaller dents - you can still try, though.

i respect the fact that youve got experiance in the industry, i truely do. however speaking from experiance with a dent very similer to this and doing it the way i did work just fine. and i dident have to pay anybody to do it. it dident mess up the body lines at all. but i suppose youve got more experiance then me so i suppose now its up to him isent it? no hard feeling tho

^try sticking a jack between the fender and inner wall inside and expand it to push out some of the dent.

do it yourself
someone hit my 13 and i had to do it myself

get some dent pullers, the weld on stud one is your best bet.

wasnt great but it got the job done. experts will say i did it crappy, others will say its ok. lol. Its just a 240sx anyways.

^^ seeing stuff like "hyperteks" that is so inspirational.

I had a dent in my quarter, and i popped it out with a crowbar, and its bondo-able. i gots a coupe though, idk if you can get to that area on a hatch, i dont see why not though.

Op, post up with whatever you get done!

The door was ajar when I took the pic. I saved the car from going to the junk yard. Friend knew I liked 240's and his neighbors where hauling the car to the scrap yard. I got it for free and hauled it home. The dent was already there. Car only had 78,000 miles when I got it so I couldn't just let it see the shredder. Pulled the KA out swapped it over to 5spd and put a SR in it. Been driving it ever since.
