question about car audio - Zilvia.net Forums | Nissan 240SX (Silvia) and Z (Fairlady) Car Forum

Well i replaced the old stock deck with a Alpine CDA-7839, everything works fine but i cant pick up any FM stations. So im pretty sure something is wrong with the antena but can anyone give me clues or ideas to fix this.

double check that you hooked up the ant. wire right. And then make sure everything is taped up together and no wires are touching each other.

BTW- Is your ant going up?

Make sure that the remote lead blue wire (if it does not have an antenna lead) is hooked to the antenna for that current to pop it.

Hmm well the ant. is goin up, but it wont pick up anything. when i scan nothing comes out. could anything else be wrong with it?

hmm..is that black cord that goes into your deck in all the way? the 2 pin to aftermarket adapter.

some a-hole before me that owned my car cut the wire to the tenna :hammer: so now i only listen to CDs

oh well.

i learn'd to love it, now i aint gotta listen to music that my friends like "IE Rap crap central, were they say thurrr and whodi" aint nothing wrong w/ sportin a lil James taylor or eric clapton

i get teased about it cause i'm 18 and am not into that new age stuff...

oh btw, ya check the tenna plug, it kept pooping out of my dads head unit, then i busted out the duct tape hehe America's favorite tool right
