Hmmmm, perhaps I would drive a Ford afterall

Here are pics of the Ford GT testing at Leguna Seca

Not that I would ever spend $150,000 on Ford quality, but that is one damn nice looking car

that car is very uuuuuuuuuuugly, but everything else about it is unbelievable. very sporty car, but I don't think bringing a car like that out is a smart move for ford.

Are you kidding me? That car is one of the first cars to come from an American manufacturer with any style in years . What's more, it's one of the best looking cars out there! Where are you getting your hate? Because it's Ford? The proportions are great...low, long, and wide. The curves are just right, and everything resolves itself nicely. I just studied design for 6 years in college. This is pretty much a shining example of cohesion (or concinnity).

If you don't like it because of the blue oval on the hood, you need to drop the hate for a minute. Save that for the Probes.

i don't hate the car at all. I think it is a work of art, I just don't like the way it looks that is it. Everything about the car is fine, I don't car if it is ford or not. I like cars for what they are.

Heh, you're likely getting a better quality car with this than if you'd spent that money on a Ferrari 360. Ask any Ferrari owner, they're unreliable as hell... to the point of not being worth owning it if it's an older V8 car (308, 328, 348).

Cars that cost more than houses aside, there are plenty of other products that could make me buy Ford. The SVT Focus, and their non-US products like the Focus RS, Mondeo ST220, or Falcon XR6 Turbo.

Heck, the replacement for my car, the upcoming Mazda3, will be based on the 2nd gen Focus platform...

Just think what this car says for its designer! The damn thing was drawn up in the late '60's, and Ford may be releasing it just now (again!). Come to think of it, the guy that designed this beautiful car might be dead already. This is the epitome of "retro design", hehe.

Too bad you can't see more of the engine in those pics. It's gorgeous, especially the exhaust manifolds. I'll have to dig up my pics from the autoshow on my computer when I get home.

There has actually been a lot of design work to produce this version, despite the fact that it so closely resembles the original.

that car is sweet as hell. but i thought Ford had decided not to bring it out, o well, we could always use more eye candy while sitting in freeway traffic jams

have u guys noticed that Ford and other american car companies are like living in the past (pt cruiser, thunderbird, the new prototype mustang, prowler, etc)? just goes to show how crappy new american cars are hehehehe
