Attaching aftermarket fans to radiator

Always been curious, how do you fellows attach aftermarket fans such as these to the radiator?

Do you actually wedge bolts through the fins, or is there some secret method that I am not aware of?
Thank you for any information.

Yup, the zipties are slim enough to go through the fins

Radiator Zipties or whatever.
They come with the Flex-a-Lite Kit. I think I have 6 total, and they fit fine through my Mishimoto.

I used normal zipties.

I put a ziptie through, put a washer on it, then used the end of another zip tie to hold it.

Kinda ghetto. The real ones are cheap at autozone. But mine were free. Haha.

i dont like those zip ties, too easy to mess up a good radiator. Plus if the fan vibrates it can literally chew through the radiator.

If you do fasten that fan make sure you use some closed cell weather stripping to prevent plastic on aluminum. I just dont like having the fins support the weight of that fan.

Its kinda a lose lose with that fan, you need one that rests on the bottom support and bolts to the top of the rad
