You really need to work on your shifting and rev matching imo. Thats probably why you were having clutch issues.

Edit: roll your fenders too

Fenders are rolled. I raised the car and purchased stiffer sway bars to increase the spring rate to avoid rubbing the fender or top of the wheel-well, but I still have a considerable amount of roll. I may replace the front springs for 9kg springs.
Clutch is made of Kevlar. Don't really care about it over heating or glazing. I was intentionally shifting quickly just to get the quickest lap time I could. I'll be getting a carbon clutch kit soon.

I value your input; thank you.

I'm talking about corner entry and decelleraion. Under brakeing you don't heel toe downshift, and you acually lock up the rear wheels slipping the clutch. You need to rev match when down shifting. this unsettled the car and puts wear on the clutch and drive train. Just an observation

Oh! Right right, I clearly see what you're saying. Yes, I do need to work on that. I was actually trying to heel toe, but I'll admit I'm no pro at it. This is why we need more grip events, so I may practice.

lol. Thank you. I am SR, but no turbo.

I was too hesitant to meet every person, since it was my first time. People had more than one set of tires, tools and jacks at hand, and talking to amongst themselves. I didn't know how to approach. I didn't have any of that, lol.

Hi Twee (I apologize if I have your name incorrect or spelled it incorrectly). Yea, my father was not reluctant at all in introducing himself. I didn't know the other also worked with you.

I was just watching the 'Bugatti vs Lake' video on your website. lol. Looks like lake wins.

Thanks. Yes, I only attended Saturday. By the time the day was over, I wanted to attend Sunday, but I ran out of money.

I'll have to dedicate myself to meet everyone at the next event, which I look forward to participating in.

I gotta agree with xpertsnowcarver, I should have gone around to meet some people but was a little shy with it being my first track day and feeling like a noob watching people and their trailers. Definitely will have to do otherwise next time, met Tom tho- super chill guy.

That hole is still there. I dropped a tire into it 2nd to last session on Sunday. OOPS! I'm really glad
to hear that you all had a good time. That's really what its all about. Perhaps if the interest keeps up
we can do more events in 2010. What say you all!?

You made a hole on the track Tom??? Eh, no wonder I couldn't get a faster lap time! hahaha j/k =P

I 2nd the notion of doing more grip events- Maybe make it a semi-annual thang with one in the Spring and the other in the fall.

Oh and wanted to thank Driftday and Naoki and of course, you Tom for putting on the event! Was sooo much fun and wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

I have this desire to go faster at SOW because of Mr. Johnson posting a 1:30 KA time, haha. Something to look up to and shoot for. =)

Really all this talk about cold pressures is absolutely meaningless. It's all about hot pressures. I'm going to have to start recording hot tire pressure and temperature readings from now on to get where I want to go.

NOT IN THE FACE!!!!!! LoL

Seriously all of your responses are indicative of the kind of interest we need to keep up.
These events are absolutely dependant upon entries so be sure to keep your eyes on the
forums and spread the word when you see our events posted. We'll be working on future
events in the upcoming weeks/months so don't forget to check in. We love this as much
as you! And it was great to finally meet some of you face to face. I hope to see you all
again soon and meet more of you.

Trust me I know that its all about hot pres & temps. But you need to know where you started at,so that you can monitor/see/record the pres build up, & be in the ballpark to begin with so that you are not excessivly bleeding down or come in way under the hot target if that matters to you, if not disregard.Whats the value to you I dont know but meaningless I dont think so. Just my opinion Ya need to know where ya started at to acheive what you want and keep absolute accurate data just my way of thinking.

Thank you everyone who came out to support and drive this event.

Maybe we're going to look into having a buttonwillow event next year!

Special thanks to Vanessa for coming out, kicking ass and representing girl drivers.

AWW consider my heart melted!!! I have been absolutely on cloud 9 after this event.

A buttonwillow event would be SO much fun! I will go to every one of these events with you guys, please have more!

I tried to upload my vid on youtube but I think I have it encoded in a wrong format or something since it's getting errors halfway through I noticed how bad I need to improve on my lines lol Hopefully I can show you all real soon.
