Just put in a cheap intake with adapter. Do I need to worry about the sensor connected to the box going to the MAS? And what about the vaccum line coming from the black box, does it need a breather? I have the SOHC. Thanks.

its a temp. sensor. i had the same problem back when i had the SOHC motor and got a cone filter.

just toss it inside the cone. no problem.

so I gotta take off the sensor screwed to the old air box and put inside the cone? Sounds easy enough...but what about the vacuum line going to the black box? That's what I'm wondering about?

When i put my fillter on all i did was put a breather on the hose goming from the little black box. I have had no problems for the past year.
