Does the early model S13 blacktop use fat or skinny?

Sorry, need to place an order and searching isn't helpful.

(When I search I see that the blacktop S13 SR20DET uses the "fat" type, but nobody distinguishes between the E5 and J4 so I wasn't sure if they used different 02 sensors or not)

all blacktops should have the fat o2 sensor. Be careful, its possible that someone swapped a redtop turbo elbow onto the engine.

Ah crap. That's no welcoming news.

I took this a few minutes ago:

Damn sure looks like you're right.

So, my engine has been running ok with the skinny. My ECU is E5 though. This smells like trouble.

RWD sr20det o2 sensors will interchange. They all use the same plug.

And I don't think ka o2 sensors are the same. I know for sure the pre-cat is not. Its just a one-wire. And I doubt the post-cat one will work either.

I know the fat o2 sensor interchanges with the 95 300zx TT. I forgot what the skinny one interchages with. Maybe the 90 300zx TT?

I think the skinny is interchangeable with the 87 Z Turbo.

Nuts, nuts, nuts. Alright. I'll order one and if it's wrong hopefully I can exchange it.

Just to confirm.

The skinny and fat o2 sensors read the same and no re-wiring or repinning needs to be done?

On a '95, yes. '96-'98s use the same 3wire front sensor.

I was going to replace the sensor with a new one since it's old, but thank you for the offer.
