Just pulled the pan off and then the baffle. There it was, the washer sitting on top of the baffle.... I feel a lot better now.......

You'll have to pull the main pulley, two inner sub-bolts (under the rocker cover), and I think two bolts from inside the upper oil pan if I remember correctly... along with the obvious.

Not much it could have got caught up on before the baffle plate aside from the timing thain, guide, tensioner, at which point you could have probably just cranked the motor by hand and got it down. Good to hear it worked out for you.
