ka long alternator bolt

im trying to finish up my car and the long alternator bolt has grown legs and walked away. I was hopping to get some work done over the holiday but i need that bolt. I was wondering if anyone knew if the one that is on a SR will work or if anyone has a size and i can look around town for one.

I delete those on the cars I work on, just use a pry bar to tension the alternator, then tighten the top bolt to the bracket.

No silly tensioner needed.

dont listen to this fool. that bolt is at least 4 inches long.. just take your alternator into home depot or lowes and find a bolt that can fit into the hole and is long enough to stick out at least 1/2 inch on the other side so you can thread a nut on it.

Then why did you post a picture of the top bolt, the tensioner side?

Nevermind, someone else did.

The bolt you need is M10x1.5x100. Same bolt that secure the A/C compressor the bracket.

even if you are talking about another bolt you are still a fucking dumb ass. bolts are dont go by the size of the socket you use on them idiot. so telling him its a 14mm doesnt do shit. you know how many different thread size/pitch can be on a 14mm. dont go around giving people "advice" when you dont know what the hell your talking about.
