What size tires should I get? Any suggestions?
I finally picked up brand new fresh wheels... Volk GTUs (f:17x9, r:17x10; +15 offset). I was wondering what size tires I should go with? They're going on my kouki S14 sitting on Tein Flex.

you should get ones that fit and don't suck.
preferrable round ones. or maybe instead you should go do some research, figure out what you need from a tire (are you going for stretch, max rubber, max performance, or just something that will last a very long time) and then go get them instead of asking anonymous pplz on the internet what they think. |

he was just kidding, i dont know if you could tell.
heres what you should do, go find an inch to mm converter, thatll help you out some. like 9"=228mm, so personally i would put 235s on the 9"er. 10"=254mm, so i would go with 255/40s then again, everyone has a preference. i like more traction, while the running trend these days is to 'stretch' tires. |

Instead of being an asshole, like everybody else on Zilvia, i would suggest 225/40 or 235/40 fronts, and 245/40 or 255/40 rear.

i WAS trying to be helpful by encouraging the OP to learn how to do both his own research and make his own decisions in regards to both sizing, styling, and budget/pricing issues in regards to these tires.
if i had just said, "oh you should get toyo proxes whatever in 2xx/4x/17 sizing" who the fuck am i to decide for him? what he needs to do is go through any of the multitude of threads we have about tire sizing, then check places like tirerack.com or discount tire and collect some information about them and then make an educated decision on his own. |

^That's a different sort of helpful. One might say, being an asshole and being helpful at once, and ultimately helping the OP reach a greater understanding of how to find things out on his own without being spoon-fed like a small child.
Those other two guys were just being nice, and thats not gonna help him learn any kind of lesson at all. lol |

I personally love a flat sidewall so on those I would suggest a 245/40/17 front and a 275/35/17. But to fit on my rolled not pulled fenders, I would have to run a 235/40 front and a 265/35 rear.
Good luck and remember everytime you mount stretched tires a fairy dies.

i personally like the approach of encourage the search button (which pretty much everyone else did) as well as provide information as long as the "ask instead of search" technic doesnt become a habit. you know, like a freebie. eveyone loves a freebie. like when a cop pulls you over or blah blah blah "ok ill let you go this time, but next time.......!!!!"
the doctor, thats crazy i didnt know 275/35/17s existed, only because i had a semi hard time sourcing 255/35s. goodkat i <3 your wheels, how did you score them, & how much...if you dont mind |
