93 weird stereo issues - Zilvia.net Forums | Nissan 240SX (Silvia) and Z (Fairlady) Car Forum

hey guys, long time lurker, first time poster. I juste removed an aftermarket deck that was already in the car when I bought and installed a new one (Alpine CDA-105). So here's the problem, no sound at all is coming out of the speakers, the deck turns on, power antenna goes up, plays cd's etc.. but no sound. The deck that was in there before worked perfectly so I really don't know whats going wrong here, I made sure about 5 times that the harness was wired correctly. It's a 1993 240sx LE btw.anyone have an idea ?

i had a problem like htis once in a different car. my poroblem was i wired it wrong. i was grounding out the entire system. the way i figured it out was unpinning everything 1 by 1 and eventually i got it working because i unpinned one wire and BOOM everything worked.

So you checked the wiring 5 times. I guess the 6th time will be the charm cause youve got wiring problems.

yeah, 6th time the charm. The problem was with the amp wire not attached properly. works now!
