s14 tein flex?

sorry about the subject title, i couldn't figure out how to edit it right.(nevermind about the o2 sensor)

anyway once i get my sr running right, i'm going to order coilovers. I plan on getting the tein flex system, i've heard they are a good all around system especially with the edfc. the car's a daily driver so i dont want something to harsh. just wonerding if anyone has this system or could recomend something better for less than $1500.
thanks

well, for ~$1500 you can go with jic flt-a2s. supposedly they offer better valving then tein and a monotube design. the flex line is good all around like you said. im planning to get those for my daily driver.

Jic: 8/6 less streetable. Tein Flex..what 6/5 or something? and designed for street use.

so...Flex is the way to go. EDFC is super cool (i wish my HEs could use it) and Flex is a good line for the money. You can change spring rates too if ou want its very cheap.

8/6 is too much for most people. go w/ the flex good setup.

thanks,
i agree about buying the used, seems pretty risky. hard to pass up a pair of 1500 hks coilovers though. i think i'll stick with the tein or maybe jic. phase2 is the site that told me 1396 for the teins seems to be the cheapest i've found, also a good price for the jic.
thanks again

So if you decide to up the spring rates later on or for track use to 8/6 the Flex's should perform just as well as the JIC's, correct?

Are the Flex's prone to rust like some of the older Teins?
I'm in the same boat, car is Mainly daily driver, BUT it will see some road course time in the future.

but im pretty sure you can use z32 rear aluminum spindle/upright w/ tein flex. i tried to look for a replacement bottom mount for tein flex. supposedly, tein will not sell the mounts separately. you probably need to get a set of z32 tein type flex just to use the rear coilovers. screw taht. also, i think the tein type flex lower mounts are not threaded so you might have to get it rewelded, which i would not like to do to a set of brand new coilovers.

so for ppl wanting to use z32 aluminum upright, you either have to buy a different set of coilovers or just use the stock 240sx spindles w/ the flex line.

8kg rear/6kg front. edfc - electronic dampaning field? controller? or somethign like that. its basically motors that attach to each one of the four coilovers that is wired up to a little headunit computer that you install in your cockpit allowing you to change the dampening in your cabin.

opps. you are right. does anyone know the spring rates for stock 240sx suspension? also, the tein type flex for s13 is 5kg/4kg. for s14 it is 6kg/5kg.

The higher the stiffer , but uber-stiff isn't necessarily better if it's not a track-only car.
Or if the roads around you are lumpy-breaky like rock candy.
