So i can vouch for rustoleum professional. my fenders havent dried/cured fully so they might look better than right now. but i can say it looks damn good. coats nice and thick, and from 10ft away looks like a maaco job.

If im not mistaken, The paint he used is ccalled Colorfex by duplicolor, I've used that spraycan before, thhey have all kinds of paints that seem a bit wierd, but come in handy If you are creatiive. ColorEfex, unless I'm wrong..

ok heres some crappy iphone pics. i did black which is tricky to do anyways, but the fenders came out really good, has some runs though. i just washed em and scuffed em up. doors i did today (sand and wiped down), still not dry but still dont look that good, realized i wasnt spraying them the same way i did the fenders. im gonna have to let em sit for a few days then sand em and do em again. rockers came out good like the fenders. and the front bumper i didnt do shit to, theres a bunch of runs from the grease and dirt on it. and excuse my front end fitment, it is terrible.

well i went to school for collision/refinishing but i really don't feel like putting a nice paint job on a drift car that's going to get fucked up. so i'm just gonna rattle can it.

pretty shitty celly pics. it didnt come out too bad. haha. way better than faded black primer at the very least. ignore the 4x4 status+sportmaxx lol
EDIT: Rustoleum Pure Gold Metallic. Like 7 dollars a can. Took 10 cans in total. The car was primered for a year beforehand. hahaha. so does it count? No clear, but my homie might throw some on for me. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

future posters:
if you could include the paint brand/type/size etc. how many cans it took? primer? clear? than this thread would be a lot more useful as it is, it's little more than rampant post whoring thx, I may be doing a temporary rattle can job on one of my cars and the info would be helpful |

I'll know exactly later, but for my hatch up there, two decent coats on bumper, fenders, doors and rockers is just under 3 cans. im gonna think 5-6 for the whole car including hood. Rustoleum pro which is 15oz cans.
