Well my concern is that this is a big investment and if those are his only options, doesnt seem like he is too interested in them since he cant decide. Not sure how your getting the "should suggest a bus pass" from my message.

Well a car is never an investment.
Not likely you can sell it for more than what you paid for it.
Its a costly expense.

No you mentioned nothing about a bus pass.
You did however, suggest a truck when the OP was specifically asking for whether to get a civic sedan or coupe.
A bus pass is no less absurd, outlandish, & irrelevant.
