Installed new manifold now bonnet wont close !!!

Hi folks, i installed a peakboost manifold over the weekend, and now the turbo sits about an inch too high and the bonnet wont close, i have nismo motor and tranny mounts. Can anyone give any suggestions what i can do to fix this issue. Im running a master power 50 trim turbo on a ka24de engine.

Look into driftfreaq's motor mounts.

I have a pair of them. Sit lower than Nismo motor mounts and doesn't let the oil pan hang below the crossmember.

Would definitely solve your clearance issue.

How can it make the engine sit LOWER and also make the oil pan sit NOT AS LOW at the same time?

I am confused....

Nismo mounts raise the engine along with the oil pan. Past the crossmember.

driftfreaq's mounts sit lower than Nismo mounts and makes the oil pan sit pretty much "flush" with the crossmember.

Not difficult to understand.

I just ordered some from him right after my first post actually. Those or circuit sports. But I was hearing conflicting information. They lowered the center of gravity but sat just as high as Nismo's. I dont get it. Xsessive sells reworked brackets too that you could look into.

I think this problem is just the reality of building a car from a bunch of different mfg. Your task is to lower the turbo, so... change parts that encourage this result.

The problem was resolved today,i bought some circuit sport engine mounts then cut them down to drop the engine as low as possible. I have more than enough clearance now.

those things are janky...i cant personally trust a mount, that has the rod going clear thru...

they always look like ur going to stress the rod and just warp the rubber...oppose to DF or nismo or OE mounts that put the weight on the actual rubber...

I understand what u are saying but in my case they were quickest solution. I had to take my nismo's off to use these which I wasnt happy about. Ill be researching a better solution in the next few weeks.

Just did alittle research on the driftfreaq mounts, they look almost exactly the same as the circuit sport mounts

Yea they were only slightly lower than the nismo which puts them at just about stock height (they were advertised to be lower than stock), I had to cut alittle off to bring the motor down to the height I needed.
