I think it's horrendous.
borrows the corny ribbing from the prior Mitsu Eclipse. The current GTR's a lot cleaner looking. (though I will say even that's growing old fast). Well, the car never was about looks anyhow so I guess it's alright. |

I agree it looks stupid, but the ribs on the GT-R are more canards though rather than just random cuts made for "styling". Canards adds a bit of front down force, and generate trailing vortexes along the side of the car to reduce the hairy air flow caused by the wheels. Its hard to say if those mini canards do much, but I trust Nissan's engineers. The front lip appears to have a longer protrusion, acting as a splitter, which adds more front down force as well. It looks like Nissan has made some serious aero revisions.
