ive been having sucky gas efficiency. has anyone hydrolocked their car by feeding seafoam through the brake booster line? I guess you just have to feed the seafoam real slowly then?

Yeah, use a funnel, pour it in slowly. It'll stumble, just don't let it die...

i heard that it can clog your cat also and foul your o2 sensor. the o2 sensor isnt a problem since its getting replaced, but what about the cat? Mine won't unbolt.

nvm i did a search on "seafoam" instead of "sea foam" (with the space in between. Found what I was looking for. Doesn't seem like something I wanna risk(clogging my cat and chance of burning oil and losing compression).

I did it

I bought a 1997 Maxima SE 5 sp from florida with about 65k on it,excellent comestic but they didn't touch the mechanics even regular work(oil changes and such) a freind suggested sea foam b/c the car wasn't as quick as it should be,so I used sea foam to "fog out the intake" and she was smoking like a freighttrain for about 2-3 miles, and after that I noticed a HUGE difference in gas mileage, and pick-up in all RPM range, the biggest improvement was the higher RPM ranges, but then again that VQ30DE loves to play with its redline....anyway,I stupidly did it w/o thinking much about it,I would reccomend it,but its yo' choice.....thats my imput...."noob" or not
