VLSD and somether LSD

When i bought the car, the previous owner told me that the car came with VLSD. I drove the car last week and this week and guess what happened, i got stuck on the driveway, happened again when i drove down a ditch. The passenger rear lifted off the ground and spun while the driver rear stayed still on the ground. Shouldn't they spin together since its LSD?
Does VLSD suppose to do that? Did i get scam?

Problem with some VLSD is that when they get old, they act like open diff until they heat up and lock.

you probably got scammed, cause vlsd's dont take long to get heated up. Plus they will grab a little while they warm up. take the pumpkin out and check, im almost positive youll find that its an open diff.

then when you find out go kick the guys ass who sold it to you. While doing so say the lsd locks up great

I don't understand how you'd get stuck on a driveway? That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

the VLSD in my skyline is worn out and acts the same as an open dif. Prob the same thing with yours. They're really only good for 70, 000km or so and then they get worn out and suck.

my car is low so i cant drive it straight up. Therefore i had to go sideway. as soon as the front passenger tire got up, the rear passenger tire lifted off the ground. At this point only rear driver and front passenger tires are on the ground. Only the rear passenger tire spun and it wasn't touching the ground, so i got stuck.
The car was cold, not even warmed.
