Exclamation Gas door frozen shut

so i'm on my way to work, and i needed to stop for gas, so i stop, press down on the lever and the gas tank door won't open. so i'm like WTF. I get out and try to pry it open, no luck, get back in the car and try to open it again, still no luck. I messed around with it for a couple mins. By now i'm late for work, so i say fuck it and just leave.

Anyone have any tips on how to open it, i guess its frozen, i mean we have been having some cold ass weather here.

But anyway i am at work now, and i guess i'll try to mess with it more later on break or when i go home.

anyone have this happen b4 and know how to get it open???

Thanks in advanced

Well, I know that mine is really hard to open...always has been. Did you try pushing extra hard on the lever?

I don't have any problems with my gas door, but the hatch release on my S13 gets stuck,it won't reset itself so therefore my hatch won't close and the switch stays up,seems to me like a stupid something like a worn out spring,or just could use some lube...

same thing happened to me. Basically what happened was the little hook on the gas door had bent. I stuck my arm behind the gas door(through the hatch) and found where the cable hooks up to it. I had my friend push the lever down while i pulled the cable even more than the lever allows. the door opened. I adjusted the hook(bent it by hand) but it happened again. After about 3 times i got the adjustment down pretty good at it doesnt do it anymore. Kepp in mind, it has a lot to do with how you close the gas door after you've filled up. Dont close it to hard and not too soft either. Dont slap in closed and dont barely close it. Give it a gentle but firm push.

They are '98 Cobra rims 17x8 +30. The '98 rims had more curve in the spokes than the other years. They are cheap to! Probly gonna throw some 10mm spacers on them one of these days.
