ka-t dies when letting off throttle

my motor keeps dieing when im driving and its reved up and i put it in neutral or push in the clutch. ever since its been turbo'd its been doing this. my bov is recirculated so i know this is not the problem. someone suggested bumping my idle up a bit. any suggestions? it only seems to do it when its higher in the revs and i let off the gas and put it in neutral or push in the clutch. its also very hard to start after it dies.

i had the same problem before... it turned out to be my maf sensor plug.

Actually I think most of us KAT's had this problem. I solved mine by turning up the idle adjust screw located near the firewall on the passenger side.

Check around for a picture.

BTW it'll still die if I rev it to like 6 and then immediately let off. You have to master the art of 'catching' the RPM's =D

does the 1/4 hose come from under the TB? i just pluged that on up. i have the valve cover breather hose, and the bov recirc. hose going to the intake before the turbo and thats it. and my mafs is like a foot or less from the turbo. its all very tight. i dont have room to move it farther away.

and yea ive heard of a few other kat's w/ this problem, it just gets annoying that i have to keep my foot on the gas a lot more. when you adjusted the idle did you disconect the tps sensor(i think thats what it is) and where did you set it at? thanks.

maybe try moving the coolant resivoir and cutting/ fitting the intake through there

Ace where did you place your maf, I have seen them placed after the smic, before the throttle body and the second place is were he has is possitioned, right on the way into the turbo. I dont have all my turbo jarkin down, so I hope I described the places correctly. also would either of these two places affect the way the car runs.

what you are talking about is the blow through type(where its located anywere in the pressurized piping), and the pull through type,(where it is before the turbo) they both do the same thing no matter where they are located(meter the amount of air going into the engine. some people mount them in the pressurized piping so they can put the bov before the mafs so they dont have to recirculate it. i didnt do it because i didnt want to have to worry about sealing the mafs w/ the ic piping.

Thanks for the info. which way is more effective. could you possibly aleviate your proplems by making it a push through type. also what do you mean by selling the ic. I have a side mount.

i think either way would be just as effective. i might be able to fix my problems by doing that, but since im running a hacked mafs i want it to be easy to get to and take on and off. if you have the mafs after the turbo in the pressurized piping, you have to have it sealed good so it doest leak there.

my MAF is as far away from the turbo as possible, before the turbo (right after the air filter).
