ka-t dies when letting off throttle
my motor keeps dieing when im driving and its reved up and i put it in neutral or push in the clutch. ever since its been turbo'd its been doing this. my bov is recirculated so i know this is not the problem. someone suggested bumping my idle up a bit. any suggestions? it only seems to do it when its higher in the revs and i let off the gas and put it in neutral or push in the clutch. its also very hard to start after it dies.

Check around for a picture. BTW it'll still die if I rev it to like 6 and then immediately let off. You have to master the art of 'catching' the RPM's =D

does the 1/4 hose come from under the TB? i just pluged that on up. i have the valve cover breather hose, and the bov recirc. hose going to the intake before the turbo and thats it. and my mafs is like a foot or less from the turbo. its all very tight. i dont have room to move it farther away.
and yea ive heard of a few other kat's w/ this problem, it just gets annoying that i have to keep my foot on the gas a lot more. when you adjusted the idle did you disconect the tps sensor(i think thats what it is) and where did you set it at? thanks.

take some pictures of your engine bay so we can see if you have all the right hoses hooked up.

![]() ![]() heres a few pics. im pretty sure i have the hoses right. ive got the crankcase breather and bov recirc. hose routed to the intake before the turbo and thats it. and i have the one hose coming out to the right of the TB routed to the pressurized piping(i read that jwt said to put it here.) there was one other small hose, (like 1/4'') that used to go to my old intake before i had a turbo. it comes out somewhere under the TB. i just plugged it up.

Jeff- Do you have that same problem with your KA-T?
I remember I had a problem like that but after I replaced battery and alternator everything was fine. But, it also only did it in the morning when I first take it out.

Ace where did you place your maf, I have seen them placed after the smic, before the throttle body and the second place is were he has is possitioned, right on the way into the turbo. I dont have all my turbo jarkin down, so I hope I described the places correctly. also would either of these two places affect the way the car runs.
