Check the power wire of the PFC to make sure it's turning on. I bet your unit is fine, it's probably just a something as simple as no power going to the unit.

Ive heard that too, but dont know where the ecu relay is.... =(

Reason I ask, is because I have an s13 blacktop harness/ecu/engine in my car atm.

However, I'm going to be swapping in an s13 fully built redtop. If I use the blacktop harness/sensors/ecu it should be fine right?

What about a blacktop harness, with redtop ECU?

From talking to the people on here the stock ecu works for both redtop and blacktops.....

So I when I bought a new one someone sold me one for a type x motor which didnt let my motor crank because a few wires are different on the pinout. The blacktop and redtop differences are pretty much just the o2 sensors, redtop is skinny style while blacktop is the fat style, or the other way around I cant remember.

You are correct jacobs13 skinny o2 is for redtops and the fattys are for the blacktop, but for the most part they are the same just diff years.... Thats why i dont understand the diff in the power fc's.....
