sorry to raise this thread from the dead..

BUT

i cant find a 335i 4dr that i want.. (almost impossible to find one that's 6mt and has sport package with ~50k for under 24g..)

so im really considering the 350z. It just seems so impractical for a daily tho.. The weather is getting crapper here in the winter, we almost had 40" of snow this winter.. my Z would probably be useless in the winter..

can some one with a Z chime and tell me how good of a car this is for daily use? I dont have a family to lug around so im not worried about bringing people all over with me..

my main concern is to have a well put together fun quick car for now until i can build another s14.

i have ruled out all the other cars i was considering so its basically between the 350z and 335i 4d, and possible a e46 m3 but i cant find one with low enough millage.. for the money i rather get a 335i

thanks

I don't currently own a Z anymore, but I had mine for well over a year. Convenience wise, it has a decent amount of space, you can fit a good amount of stuff in it if you know how to pack it right but it isn't the greatest thing for a daily. The idea of a 2 door as a daily will work for a short time, but eventually you will get tired of it whenever you and your buddies want to go somewhere always having to take seperate cars. Not to mention you live in NY where I know you get a good amount of snow, and the z becomes really impractical for a daily on that note. I went from the Z-Miata-Evo which I currently own, and couldn't be happier. At first I thought I was going to dislike the 4 door factor but after a short time realized I love everything about it. If you're considering the z, I'd suggest look at the G35/37 sedans, you can get them in manual and they're about 90% the same as the z's but you're still going to be rwd unless you get the g35x but that only comes in auto. In all honesty if i lived where you get a good amount of snow I would have to have AWD. Good luck with your search
