Harness Bar is it really worth it?

I wanna know why the passenger was ejected? Those 4/5 points arnt gonna do you a lot of good if they are worn slacked. And when your body slams against the harnesses that were slacked, its gonna pull on the seats, mounting points, and harness bar a lot harder then if everything was snugged and your body wasnt allowed to go into motion.
