O rly? lol I'm a Honda guy at heart but have 'grown out' of them I guess would be the best way to put it. No shame here lol!

Again, I'm a drag racer at heart because that's about all there is to do with a car around here. My plan with this car is to focus more on handling and do some track days and auto-x's this summer.

I'm starting to get amazed at how much welding I have done on this car, shits outta control lol!

Here's the knuckle mod I've been hinting at. Basically relocating the tie rod portion which will do two things. First, it'll drop my tie rod mounting point to give me a better starting point to dial out bump steer. And second, it 'quickens' the steering ratio and gives a little more steering angle. A poplular mod amongst the drifting crowd

First, cut off and grind down the old steering stop...

Then measure and mark the cut...

Then figure out where you want them and Bob's your uncle...

Tig'd at 175 amps, they aren't going anywhere

Painted purty...

Then something fell out of the back of my car...

This mess.

Got to lower the subframe before I can raise it....wtf.

Since PBM is currently out of sub frame risers I decided to take matters in my own hands and make my own riser setup.

The red line is where it used to sit against the body, the green line is where it's going to sit against the body. Approx. 1/2" difference. The red anodized pieces are bushing spacers that basically turn the bushings into solid mounts. The top is C shaped so you don't have to take the whole thing out. This will help correct my geometry (or roll center) in the rear.

Without spacer...

Quickly cut/grinded down to see if my washer size is going to work...

Money!

I have to do that on top and bottom. I'm going to leave the rubber part of the bushing inside so that the metal sleeve that goes on the studs will stay centered. Just going to stink like hell when I weld everything up lol!
