Anyone go all out and cook for their other? If so, what did you make?
I didn't quite go all out, but I did spend a large ammount of time in the kitchen.
Meal:
Lobster/Shrimp scampi, cooked 1/2 way. Finished as a kabob, on the grill with some "special" cajun seasoning. My kabobs had portabello mushrooms skewn on, because my girl doesn't eat them.
This was sided with garlic parmesian rosemary mashed potatoes. And then finished with my garlic parmesian bread.

For desert I made a s'mores pie, a layered graham cracker crust pie, with dark chocolate, white chocolate, and milk chocolate, topped with mini marshmellows.

This wasn't the most extravagant meal I've made for her, but it's more than I've cooked in the past, so it was a V-day meal for her.

I wanna know what you all made! I'm watching Food Network Iron Chef, and it got me thinking.

Well i didn't cook for my other because she went on a date with another guy, but i busted out the Formen grill and made hot dogs with cheese and ketchup.

Chicken breasts with fresh basil and chunks of tomato over some slivers of garlic pizza (all homemade). Just a simple green salad on the side.

She loved it. I don't trust my cooking skills to lobster, yet.

That's an awesome recipe if you like the herby italian taste. Awesome food man!
And going out is acceptable, as long as it's not Burger King

My 'valentine' settled for me not cooking, and cooking herself something while I browsed the forum and ate cheesecake.

I think you guys can tell how my valentines day went.

i made myself a good meal, heres the recipie that i followed:

1) stop feeling depressed that its "singles awareness day"
2) walk to a store (b/c the 240 is broke) so even more boo-hoo
3) get 2 fifths of captain morgans
4) go back to my place and have a drinking game with myself, which i lost by the way
5) get a call to go out to a party, it was an anti-V-day party
6) hook up with some chick who was also depressed
7) make breakfast for the both of us

makes ya wonder how long it will last? huh?

Well, im 3 years in and I lost the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm glad that atleast she loves cars.
