i had a similar idea cause i just bought a 240 that i wanted to "restore" and keep it clean and repaint the whole car black...then i found this tread..lol.

how complicated was it to put lights on the A/C control unit and etc?
did you repaint it or anything or did it already look clean?
a couple of my buttons on the A/C control is a little faded..still thinking what i should do about it..paint? replace? hmmm...
