If you want new, a lot of painters really like the DevilBiss guns for a cheaper gun. If you want used look for a Anest Iwata or a Sata Jet but expect to spend some $$$ for those.

You need a decently large compressor to use HVLP... I use a DevilBiss Finishline III HVLP gun with Coleman 60 gal compressor (even the 60gal works hard to keep up) and upgraded high flow fittings and it works well.... the gun is fairly easy to use/clean and came with different tips for primer. Just tune it correctly for each use using the cigar spatter method and it'll put down a nice smooth finish. Just make sure you get a good inline filter and a disposable one at the gun. I use the M60 'toilet paper' inline filter and disposable desiccant filters at the gun.... never had issues with moisture in the line with this setup but I also live in a desert.

DevilBiss, Anest Iwata, or a Sata Jet
This . In ordered from good to better. Use a good filter at the compressor and drain it often. Also use a good inline filter/regulator at the paint gun itself. |
