![]() I have a set of fno1rcs (17x8 +35 at all corners) comin in real soon, and now its time to start thinkin about tires. I'm leanin towards the azenis st115 (long treadwear for a performance tire) or the grbk451( little more sticky than the st115, but dont last as long), but im kinda stuck on sizes. As of now I'm running a mild s13 ka24de so im not sure if it would be worth it for me to run too huge of tires (245 etc.) , as they might just slow me down....
I would like to know what you think and what you would do (what tires, what size etc.)... any advice and guidance is always greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jonathan |

i'm going with 225 45 17 for the same wheels.
i'm also waiting for them to come in, but purchased long studs and 10mm spacers a long time ago. you should too. anything over 225 would bulge on an 8" rim. staggering is less than ideal IMO. yes, as you've noticed treadwear is DIRECTLY related to grip. st115 are hard as hell. 360 iirc i'm getting sumitomo htrz they're 160 and only $86/ea from tirerack they'll last long enough. tires are the biggest factor in how your car will handle and how much grip you have. dont skimp/compromise here.
