Nascar rocks if you know what to look for. Most casual observers wouldn't ever keep up with it all.

seeing it live will change most negative opinions, i think. just flipping past a race on cable doesn't really make anybody an expert.

Cool to see them coming to America and glad to see the new track will be getting lots of use.

There's 36 races in the series, and what, 4 of them are on road courses? That means *only* 89% of their races are on ovals.

Frankly, I'm tired of nascar taking up all the media attention in this country. It drowns out all the other racing series and makes it that much harder for those of us who prefer other forms of racing to find them on TV.

For sure. The technology involved is outstanding, especially giving their restrictions and limits. It's really nutty to read some of the engineering comparions between those engines and F1 engines...and also neat to see how much 'more capable' they would be without caps and limits...they really are sick setups for a '355'.

I really like watching professional soccer, but you don't see my 'upset' that the NFL and MLB are on every night...ya know what I mean? NASCAR is extremely popular and widely followed....ALMS isn't...so why should the networkds devote equal time to both, especially when those who really follow the other series's can find them online and or know where to find them on cable channels?

Trust me, I'm a track guy...I can understand the frustration, but in the same moment I also understand why it is so. I do however wish Speed would start a 'Nascar Network' and Speed would focus on everything else, but that's probably not feasible.
