Opinions wanted
Alright, well I think I already know what the answer to the this question will be, but I'm going to ask it anyway. I'm really hung up right now on this decision, because I want my funds to go as far as possible.
Should I pick up a used set of Sportlines and AGX's to get me by for a while and be able to complete some other mods to my kouki or keep saving for a few months and get a set of coilovers? The deal is my car is daily driven and may only see a road course once a year if I get lucky. I've found a used set of Sportlines/agx's for $200, which will allow me to also finish my Z32 brakes, get a new alarm and install a complete ES bushing kit. If I pick up the coilovers everything else will have to wait for quite a while and with my roads in OK and my driveway I'm not going to be able to drop the car really low regardless. As far as a drop is concerned, I probably won't be able to get much lower than a 2in drop all around. For some reason when they built my neighborhood every house has what's basiclly a 45* curb that that separates the driveway from the street. I can almost scrap in my 2009 Ford Flex if I don't turn into the driveway at an angle.

You need more than just coils when you drop your car.. Rucas, rear toe rods etc. To get back to proper aligment specs. Just go with the other mods first. 200 in the big scheme of car modding ain't squat.

I think coilover and z brakes is overkill for a daily it's better just lower ur car with some nice springs and stiffen your suspension and replace ur bushing. After all that u can get ur car ready for coilovers

For what you want springs and struts would be the best bet. Sounds like you have no real need for coilovers. I see you're in B.A. I'm in Claremore.

I agree with everyone else going for the spring/shocks combo for what you need. Really don't need coils and Z brakes for your needs. If you can lock up your brakes with stock, you are good to go.

Yeah, I think the spring/strut combo makes the most sense, just wanted some input. Also, I already have the Z32 calipers, just need to pick up the conversion lines, rotors and pads. That and figure out how I want to run the Z32 rears, since I don't have the Z32 drums.
