s13 dont know whats wrong with my 240 s13

i got a 91 240sx AUTO.... its a duel cam and it was running fine then it just started to turn off when ever i stop it happones sometimes when i stop i think its my timing belt??? or something else?

Just take it to a shop. It's very obvious you have little mechanical background. Not trying to be insulting here. If you go messing around under the hood with a cloudy idea of what's going on, you could always end up making it worse.

You might have a leak somewhere in any of the vacuum lines.

i know but im still learning so i want to mess with it and also my dad is a mechanic so i think he will fix it but just not now because we have a tight budget and alot of stuff going on right now so yea now imma try to stop messing around with it...

So it doesnt idle is what your saying? Tons of threads on just that problem alone many 240sx's have it look through those they are in depth and specific im sure youll find your problem

my 240 idles at around 700 rpm and when i start to slow down for a stop the rpm drops below 500 then it either turns off or the rpm goes back up......

UPDATE!!!! i checked my oil there is no oil so i think its no oil thats the problem.....

Okay kiddo, for future reference...

Tech questions belong in Tech Talk, and you need to make sure you check all the simple little shit on your car BEFORE you make a Thread. No one on the internet can magically diagnose what is wrong, without you thoroughly going over the engine first. Especially for something as stupid as not having any oil in the engine.

Consider this a learning experience.
