i think if the cops figure out that your car has been in california for more than three months, they can use that against you and say that you are trying to avoid CA state law. that would take three months of documenting but you never know who's watching though.
without records, i think it would be a pretty easy case in court. all the other reasons in this thread sound reasonable too, watch out! hahaha

As long as your military you're good with out of state plates. Iv'e seen personally in court the judge breaking people down shotgun style for not registering cars after the period. If entertaining watching people bury themselves in thier own BS.
