BOV question - Zilvia.net Forums | Nissan 240SX (Silvia) and Z (Fairlady) Car Forum

I have an s13blacktop and im in the market for a bov. I was just gonna be like all my friends and get a hks ssq, but ive been looking at the turbo xs and greddy type-s. Ive heard from wrx drivers that the turbo xs is suppose to resemble a gun shot, while the greddy type-s will give you similar to "the fast and furious" sound. Since bovs are bovs, i was just looking for the one with the best sounding blow-off, if you recomend one or have personal experience with one i would greatly apreciate your knowledge on the subject.

Apex!!!!

i like it cuz it doenst sound ricey..its weird though at times..i run it on the small hole. at that position it sound like the HKS at times and sometimes like a regular ppsshhhh. also when on the small hole u get a small or no backfire(unburned fuel from blow off) but in the larger hole...it will shutter a bit at times and have a really loud ppssshhh and a monterous backfire..kool at nite but annoying after a while to me..i guess cuz i wanna appear sleeper. definately not common..adjustable, nice, good design, and easy to tune. oh.....running it on the small holes helps so u wont have to recirc it.
