Godspeed Top Mount Turbo Kit (s14.5)

So my megan turbo manifold cracked and instead of taking it out and welding it back together, i was thinking of just buying this new godspeed turbo kit since it has the cast manifold which will be stronger and wont have to worry about it cracking even though its a top mount. Any suggestions? Not looking to break any power records here, just looking for every day driving dependability.

That is a pretty ill-advised statement. I've had few turbo cars as a DD and never had a problem with "everyday driving dependability". Many of the forum members would I agree..... As for OP, if you are going to go with a tubular turbo manifold, I think a good quality manifold will last much longer then many of these lower end tubular manifolds. A cast iron one will last a long time, mine did for 6 years +

- If you re-weld the Megan, brace it.

- off-brand turbos can be a little suspect. but some have had good experiences with them.

And I run godspeeds cast top mount on my KA-t. I can vouch for it. Been a little over a year now and no issues at all. One of their better products I'd say! GL

This guy is like 100% on the money.

Cast Iron Manifolds are the jam if you don't ever want any issues. Cheap tubular manifolds are hit or miss, some will crack or break within weeks and others take years to show any defects. If you want to keep the tubular manifold, run a brace or two from the turbo flange to the block so that you know all of the weight isn't on the manifold.

Thanks for info guys, but does anybody know how dependable the generic turbo that comes with the godspeed kit is? I have a s15 turbo in my s14.5 right now was wondering which would be more reliable/better overall.

If you're going to buy the kit for the manifold, just try out the turbo it comes with for a little while, if you don't like it just slap on your S15 turbo and sell the generic turbo
