News flash Ballwax, Nissan stopped making the lips. You either pay retarded shipping to get a fiberglass one or retarded money fora torn up used one.

This is why it's a "replica" and not a "knock off". Crimson is not out u der-cutting the creator but simply provide a product that is no longer made.

It's like taking a girl, spending $100 on a date and banging her afterwards or just calling one up and paying her $100 to bang. One is Girlfriend, the other a prostitute.
What happened to the patience and waiting thing that real men have? Can't wait for a barn find good condition lip?

You've succumbed to economics. In a sense crimson rocket is rota, he is capitalizing on a niche in the market. You want a type x lip, but you aren't going to pay 500+(idk how much they cost) to have one imported from japan, right? No, you want a cheap FRP replica of something that will probably get messed up (like wheels) so you aren't too butt hurt when something happens.

Welcome to the world of getting stuff you want now instead of having to wait for availability, and even so you're getting it for CHEAPER!

Now you just have to realize you're lying to yourself and realize you are buying knockoff shit.

In some cases people are actually waiting for the knockoffs, I.E. XXR's whole ordeal with their 527's, I think it was relatively recently where people hadn't recieved their wheels for 6 months lol. People could've saved up enough to buy the real deal in the time they had waited for crap. Anyways I think this thread has honestly ran its course and many have been educated

What is there to say? The knockoff flexes to all hell, but you poor people will continue to buy it.

So end of the day, does it compare to the real thing, no. Not even close aside from the fact that they both resemble a steering wheel.

Will this news stop all you poor and impatient people from buying this shitty wheel, no.

Hats off to Crimson, do your thing, make that money. Give the people what they want.

We are all people, and by nature we are going to pursue our personal interests.

As i tried to do before with the boat thing, i'm done with the whole this or that. It just made me chuckle a little when i saw your post in the kouki aero thread.
Really?

As people have already stated, there's a clear difference between Knock Offs and Replicas.

Do me a favor, go find an OEM Kouki 180 lip that isn't beat to shit, overpriced, or in Japan.

The whole purpose of having the lip REPLICATED here in the US was to make it easily accessible to all. Yes, there was another company making the lip here in the US, but they weren't reliable and had terrible communication.

Of course you give people what they want. Difference is, some companies completely skimp on quality and only care about profit. Too many people supporting these companies instead of supporting the companies that are constantly reviewing, updating, and improving their products (SPL comes to mind).

I personally drove to San Fransisco to pick up my brand new OEM lip like two years ago. I've only seen a handful of lips go up for sale on here since then. All of them scooped up immediately.

Comparing me to Rota is hilarious. Awesome logic.

It's not about having patience. The problem is, they don't go up for sale often and when they are available, you're already going up against dozens of people around the world trying to outbid you (Yahoo Japan). The only chance you have of winning it is by overpaying.

There's also a reason why companies go with FRP over Urethane. Having parts made out of Urethane is EXPENSIVE. Unless you're making hundreds of said parts, it's simply not worth the money to have the urethane parts made. FRP molds are much easier to make and a fraction of the cost. Absolutely nothing wrong with FRP parts. Plenty of companies out there that make great fitting, strong, and lightweight FRP parts.

This thread has more than run its course.

At the end of the day, people will continue to buy lower quality/inferior products simply to save a few bucks. Nothing we say and/or do will stop them.

It's your money. Your car. Your life. Do what you want with it.
