PS: Not everyone with a 240 drifts. Some of us road course them.

And why the 300zx diff over an s13 diff? Well, I guess for an s13, its easier to get an s13 vLSD. I'm just used to looking for s14 parts, I guess, cause I can never seem to find a vLSD. So, I found a good condition 300z vLSD. Its all good.

800 bucks? tough call. its enough money to do some things ,but not quite enough to really do some cool stuff. Like these guys said, I would make sure all the maintainance is done first. maybe get some brembo blank rotors, nice pads, new fluid. hows your suspension? shocks blown? maybe get some AGX's.

about the respect. yes respect is earned. but if somebody hasn't earned respect then you don't just treat them like shit. IMO some respect should always be there and you treat people with respect unless they've lost it. then treat them like shit.

and now to stop preaching and get on topic. I'd spend the money on some BPU. intake, header, exhaust, electric fan, short shifter, take your choice. bpu for the money wield the greatest gains.

Well before you go and make assumptions on who paid for the car how bout you make sure you knwo the facts first. I will fill you in, I paid for the car, it was $400, I pay for the work done to it, I pay for the parts, not one cent of my parents or anyone else money went towards this car. I asked a simple question and i needed no coment on my car but thanks for your time

lol i m 21, my frist car grand am(16), parents got it for me, crashed it, second grand am(17.5) insurence money+my money, beat the hell outta it, but it deserved it, 240(20), i m paying it off, and keep alot better care of it and am taking time to fix every thing....i work all summer to buy parts though, i think last year i had 6 or 7 days off from end of school in may to start of school end of august, but i got alot of parts into it and fixxed alot of shit..but i dunno if i can hack another summer of at least 2 12 hour days a week and then 8 hours a day for at least 5 days, but most of time i worked weeknds for the over time ............i need a life this summer i think though, i wish i had my car when i was 16 cause then i d be alittle further or be on my 2nd or 3rd one and have alot of spare parts. lol

i feel that. im taking graveyard shift over the summer.. and getting a new job during the day.. im hoping to have my suspension done by the end of the summer.. so i can quit my dayjob for school.

Im not really too concerned on if you believe i got the car for $400, you can beleive what you want, and the "other" car i got for $300, it was a wrecked 240 that i used for interior parts, front lip, fender, dash, and other random parts. Then i traded it to a guy a new for a turbo talon with the turbo seized, Spent about $400 on the talon and got it running fine, and now im selling it, So you can believe what ever you want to. And who said i dont walk to work, infact i do, I work at my fathers hardware buisness. But im not going to lose sleep due to the fact that you dont beleive me on what i say and you think my car "sucks". The reason i posted asking what people would do to my car is because i am 15 and im not as educated as most of the people here, and i dont want to waste money in the process of modifying my car, i want everything done right the first time. If you think this thread was worthless then i have an idea for you...dont click on it.

Im 16, goin on 17 in a few months. I've learned from my brother that the first mod going on my S14 is going to be an LSD. KAAZ 2-way clutch type LSD, from my brothers S14. He went to japan on deployment and left me a bunch of goodies. Of course ima pay him back. (i have to pay him before the part goes on) but hey, im gettn great deals. KAAZ LSD w/ output shafts for $600,
APEX'i N1 single exhaust + High Flow CAT. + Hotshot Headers for $350, 2 pairs of diff. rims + rear 5-lug conversion for $100, 4 extra tires for free, B&M short shifter + Off-brand steering wheel for free. God im lucky. The reason im getting all this stuff is cuz i helped him put most of them on, plus... hes my brother

some people need to listen to this. 15 year old smarter than many of you. its not like hes got a brand new car. and it seems to me like he put some work into it. why do you care how/what hes doing? hes not being stupid about it. tell him to research all you want, most of you will still agree that 1st hand experience is best. so hes doing the best he can and asking the experienced, and even the less experienced, what he should do. like being able to start over and do it again, what would you do??
