aftermarket bearings

Spun a main bearings. Do i replace with OEM, or are there aftermarket bearings?

Money is a factor, but I'd rather built it strong while its apart ya know. Suggestions please.

I am going to replace my rod bearings too.

Will the main's need to be pressed onto the crank?

thanks.

umm you spun a main bearing it's possible you fucked the journal on the crankshaft. they are supposed to last till 300,000 miles the rod bearing usually goes around 200,000 or less. So if you spun a main bearing, i would just go get another block and freshen it up with new bearings. Pull it apart to see what's good and what's bad. you may find other things that are bad.

There are aftermarket bearings if you are talking about SRs. Some Japanese manufacturers (Tomei, etc.) have stronger bearings. Not so sure about the KA.

The main berarings don't need to be pressed onto the crank.

its a ka24de, and from what I can see, it doesnt look bad at all. I will take the crankshaft to a machine shop and have them check it out.
