Here's my 255/40/17 RT615K on a 9.5 +12 under stock metal. I posted it a few pages back and said it was ~-1* camber. Then I measured again. It's more like -0.5.
![]() ![]() I also run a 17x9 +32 and 0* camber on my other car with much less of a roll. If I had a 245/40, it would be 'flush'. I didn't take note of my inner clearance, but it sticks in my mind that I have another inch before the wheel would hit the coilover. Meaning a 17x10 +43 with a proper sized tire should fit inside and have about the same fitment on the fender side. But I've also never looked at control arm clearance. That could be a problem.

My fingers are up to the second knuckle and have room to spare from the coilover, which seems to be about 3/8" closer to the wheel than the body at this point. ![]() Here's the clearance to the control arm. My fingers are up at the first knuckle and they are squished. I think 2 fingers at the second knuckle would be a more appropriate measurement. ![]() And, with a 17" wheel both of these measurements will be a bit different, as the coilover and control arm are sloped away from the center of the wheel. So maybe a 17x10 +43 wouldn't fit. ![]()

Note: the 265's I had ran kind of wide. So depending on the tires you choose you may be able to go a couple mm lower on the offset. But now we're really getting specific. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

P.s. you're right, I could be running 3xx IF I wasn't running spacers, it's only round 1 of 1,000... Let it go! |

Then take off the spacers and run wider tires then post again in this thread. I fit 295/30/18 on mild pull on s14 and I think I could pull off a 305 pretty easily.

That first post was made in 2007! We've learned a lot about how much tire you can reall stuff under an s-chassis since then. People were questioning IF a 275 could fit in '07, now we're questioning how to get 315s without overfenders.
That being said, 275s are still manly tires, even if the most up-to-date MAX tires guys have moved on.

Life begins at 335/35/17, this is the size I really want for my coupe! I think I could run them on a 12" wheel (?). But at a 12" width what offset is the highest I could run before hitting the coilover? That would help determine how much of a flare would be needed.
