I haven't worked on a 240 in awhile so I'm a bit confused,

the last owner messed up the harness big time so I just went ahead and replaced all of it with a 5 SPEED harness, not an automatic harness, the only thing I did not replace was the tranny harness.

Uncut chassis harness and uncut engine harness.

I plugged everything in and the car does not start, the tranny harness seems a bit hacked up too.

I don't know if it's the same for a 5 speed harness and an automatic harness but I jumped the wires together for the nuetral safety switch and still nothing,

the starter doesn't click just the relays in the 2 fuse boxes click,

any help appreciated thanks.

does the motor hand crank? have you checked continuity to the fuel pump?

Found out the problem,
Clutch interlock was unplugged.

Trololol. Car runs fine now. hah.

so that would mean there's NO difference in the auto & 5 speed engine harnesses?

I wouldn't say there were no differences, I think it was a lot easier, I didn't have to hack my ecu wires, or jump the neutral position switch. also the wires for the auto control box isn't on there, I practically plugged it in, and started it up, the tranny harness was already hacked. But all you really need is the reverse light and speedo wires.
