It's made out of fiberglass. Great quality.

As far as fitment goes, it all depends on how you mount it. The one installed on the white S13 has been trimmed to clear the large canister. Now, say you had an exhaust similar to Reinhard/Trust DD, you more than likely wouldn't have to trim it at all. Also, the higher you have your exhaust mounted, the better the clearance.
