Any local tuners? I really need a tune for my KA-T. I've been building this damn thing for years. Stupid marriage. Got divorced (fixed that) and now I'm trying to get it finished. Anyone know any shop that can do dyno tunes, NISTUNE, etc?

Yeah. Your screwed in Knoxville. I know there isn't any nissan specialist around here. There are a few quality shops around here, but most stay away from tuning. Your best bet might be nick at fastech, they do good Honda/Dsm/subbie work..... Knox dyno can possibly do it, but I have heard horror stories when it comes to their tuning. There is adrian at edge automtive on Clinton hwy but I don't know what they can or cannot do. Dave at OTT motorsports possibly???

If all else fails, there is some good shops in Atlanta/Nashville.

blink182house. I'm pretty sure we met up with your crew at Demo's in Lebanon one night before a drift event. There was a 2 door Subie and an AE86 with you guys. It was a long ass time ago.

im also in the process of building a KA-t and using a guy from Manchester, TN. The shop he tunes at is in Woodbury, TN at Beans diesel. Contact Us

Their site doesn't show any nissan stuff, closest would be Hondata, so maybe they can do other tunes. Kinda far out for me though. I'll keep it in mind though, thank you.

Correct. It's a diesel place. But the tuner goes there and uses their dyno.

Check out Custom Concept Motorsports in chattanooga....only like a 1.5 hour drive from knox. They don't have a dyno, but the owner, George has alot of experience with Nistune and does a good job with road tunes. He tuned my ca18det with nistune and did an excellent job. Reasonably priced too. He has a ton of experience with Twin Turbo z's, g35 turbo's, and has also tunes an R35 GTR. Great guy, too.

WHo paints cars around here for 'cheap'? I ain't ready to pay $3500+ for paint until I get ready to do the entire car. I only need a basic color change to GT-R blue(Sapphire/Pacific, or computer Blue 62 mettalic)

My car is freakin red, auto,and has philipina installed white powercoated Altima wheels on it(Barf!). I need to get rid of the red, get new wheels and tires, but first just a new windshield, fix a air bag sensor, then paint the sucker....gonna be a sleeper project after that, and going with NA KA.
Anyone have any idea if '96 300Z wheels will fit? I got 5 lug hubs and a factory LSD(It makes TWO stripes on the road!)

I seen a few 240's around C-Ville and teh base that are pretty sweet, and I seen a few that have been totally hashed

You can check out pull apart in Nashville, or express pull-n-save in Lavergne....may be able to find your 5 speed swap parts and windshield and airbag sensor. Just check their websites to see if they have any s14's on the yard. Or you can always just post a WTB ad on here and on NICO forum for whatever parts you need. As far as paint on the "cheap", not sure around c'ville. You could give it a try yourself, or hit up maaco....but I have a feeling it will never be "cheap" with the paint you have chosen.

Took the car to be 'read' on a Sun machine($35). Dude said it may be a wire or something. Went to the car, turned it on, and NO CODES, no idiot LIGHTS! Drove about ten miles over rough back roads and still no lights lit up...cool for me, not so for teh shop that is expecting some ransom to fix what are apparently ghosts in the machine.

Shot an email to a company that remanufactures zenki manual transmissions so that part is easy enough(better than a used part with no record, just sayin...) Shop said between 1k and 2k for the paint, and that is doing the interior motor bay, trunk, door jambs so it looks factory...haven't looked up Maaco yet.

SICKBOY...that a Social D thing? If so we have some common likes(who woulda thought punks wuld be in the Ryman watching a punk band like Social D on the stage???)
